600+ Walleye. 4 Days at Larus Lake

Dan Dunsbergen’s group of 8 released more than 600 quality walleye out at Larus Lake ‚Äì including 22″ – 24″ walleye plus a 40″ northern.

is there a secret to catching ’em out at Larus? Dan used a Micro Lite Bass Pro rod with a Shimano 1000 reel and 6 lb. test line. He started out with 60 dozen minnows and 5 lbs. of leeches, and used artificial bait during the last two hours on the water.

(Dan’s group even had a moose sighting ‚Äì but there’s no secret there, only patience.)

“I have had the privilege to go on the best 4 day fly in fishing trip of my life with the Marcus Construction Group. God willing, someday I hope to be able to make the trip to Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts with both of my sons,” he said.
