Trophy Walleye are common in our lakes. Back in 1987 Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts was one of the first operators in Northwestern Ontario to implement a catch and release policy not to over stress the fishery. That visionary policy has served our operation well throughout the years as we continue to enjoy world-class fishing and significant repeat business from our guests. Every year the average size of the fish goes up as well as the number of fish released.

We are often asked when the best time to come fishing is, and because of the distance we are flying the fishing stays pretty constant so anytime from opening weekend in May to the end of season Mid-September is our answer. July is when we experience our hottest weather and our favorite time of year is August because the weather is most stable. Tackle is simple for the Walleyes using a 3/8 oz. jig tipped with minnows or come the hotter months we switch over to using leeches, night crawlers or gulp.
