It’s That Time Of Year

October 18, 2019

As fishing season is coming to a close our second favorite season begins, hunting!

As some of you may know I (Michelle) am a huge grouse hunter! I love getting out on the quad or side by side and cover some miles; the smell of the fallen leaves, the beautiful colors of fall and the peace and quiet of nature are just a few things I love about going out hunting.

But I think my favorite thing about bird hunting is sharing it with my Grandchildren. It started with Ryan when he was about 2 years old we would just go for short rides looking for the partridge till he was old enough to ride for long periods of time on the four wheeler. Ryan is now 10 and looks forward to the hunt as much as I do. Brax who just turned 5 is turning out to be an excellent bird spotter! Grae who is now 3 and enjoys her time out bird hunting as well. We are excited about being all together over the Canadian Thanksgiving as a family to hunt some birds.

In the meantime, Dave recently went Mule deer hunting out in Alberta at Canada Outdoor Adventures . Dave shot a beautiful 4×4 buck with his friend Scott guided by Mike Gate. Dave really enjoyed his time there and had fun playing in a different terrain.

What are you hunting for this season?

Happy hunting!

Dave, Michelle & Jon
