A Legacy of Memories
September 13, 2019
The Moe party aren’t known to be big talkers, but they all agree they had a fantastic time at Malette Lake!
Ken Moe started coming to Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts back in 2008 with his son, grandson, and son-in-law. A kind and soft-spoken man, Ken enjoyed his fly-in vacations with his family. While it is with great sadness that we inform you that Ken passed away last winter, it warms our hearts to report that he left his family with a legacy and memories that will last them a lifetime.
Ken’s son, Brad, will carry on the tradition. Although the Moe party’s first-ever trip was to Keeper Lake, they’ve since been loyal to Malette Lake where they spend their time chasing the lake trout. During their visit this year, they knew Ken was with them in spirit, as he put them onto a 28-inch lake trout that put up a good fight in 40-50 feet of water! They also released a 26-inch walleye.
Overall, the Moe party had a great trip, and Malette Lake will be here awaiting their return!
