A Look Back at the First Day of Fishing in 2015

October 13, 2015

It’s that time of year again ‚Äì we’re beginning to close up the outposts and enjoying the incredible autumn colors. It seems like more than 5 months ago that our boys were opening the outposts!

Back in mid-May, the first day of fishing was a surprise to us here at Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts. We weren’t prepared for 8″ of snow at Malaher and Malette and 3′ snow drifts between the cabin and the outhouse! The water temps were at 48¬∫ when our first guests of the season arrived. The crazy weather didn’t stop them from having fun. Where else can you play horseshoes in the snow, build the world’s smallest snowman, and still catch trophy fish??

Bob Foss of Sarasota, FL, Joe Miller of Venice, FL, and Connor Hicks of Monroe, LA got to experience all that Canada has to offer out at Kay Lake.

How long until there’s snow on the ground again here in Nestor Falls?

Escape to the Wilderness,
Dave & Michelle
