Breaking Ground Last Fall

2013 was an eventful year for us. One of the most exciting parts of the year was finally beginning construction and breaking ground on our new home in town. As some of you are aware the land on which the overnight cabins were situated was sliding into the water. Not exactly the ideal situation for where we are going to build our dream home! We hired an engineering company out of Winnipeg who sent up a Geo Tech to have a look at the property and draw up plans for drainage.

Prepping the lot for building was a long process that took over a month, but eventually TrueLine Construction was able to prep the foundation and pour the cement. Building has begun, and though our extreme winter slows everything down, our new home should be ready some time in summer. We can’t wait! We are anxious to move in and begin the next chapter of our life in Nestor Falls.
