Has anyone else been thinking about their bucket list lately? You know, that long list of all the goals you want to achieve, dreams you want to fulfill, things you hope to experience and trips you want to take before you run out of time? I think everyone should have a bucket list and I think Nestor Falls Fly-In should be on it.
You see last year Dave and I flew into LAX and drove up to Palm Springs. I expected heavy traffic—but not the traffic we encountered. What was supposed to be an hour and a half drive turned into a traffic nightmare. We were stuck on the highway for over four hours, slowly inching forward while motorcycles wildly zoomed in between the lanes. I could have walked faster and can guarantee it would have been much more enjoyable. Honestly, I give all you city folks a pat on the back for enduring traffic every day on your way to and from work. I have no idea how you keep your sanity! After the 4-hour ordeal, when we finally made it to our hotel, Dave and I went straight to the bar to sit down and calm our nerves.
That said, sitting in the LA traffic really made me realize what a unique and special place Dave and I are able to offer our guests. It’s not just the incredible fishing that makes Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts so amazing—it’s simply being in the wilderness away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts is a place where people can disconnect from their fast-paced lifestyles and recharge. A place where the hectic sounds of car horns and motorcycles, get temporarily replaced by the tranquil sounds of loons calling in the distance and water lapping against the side of a boat.
A wise man once told me you can always make more money, but you can’t make more time. So tell your friends, especially those living in big cities, to put us on their bucket list because it’s important to set aside time to escape to the wilderness. There’s no other place like it.
Escape to the Wilderness!
