Fly-In Fishing Fun for the Whole Family

Claire Entas brought her family up to Nestor Falls Fly-In for a couple days back in the summer of 2013. They celebrated her parents’ anniversary and her husband’s birthday out at Kay Lake.

It’s the perfect spot for a family because you’re able to catch fish left and right. Being able to cast out into the water and feel a tug right away is even better when you’ve got kids in the boat.

“The fish highlights of our trip included a few 36″ plus muskies, including Ben’s first ever,” Claire told us. “Abby and Hunter both caught their first bass ever on this trip. Also two beautiful lake trout, mine was 28″ and a personal best. The very next day Abby smashed my new record by tag teaming with her Grandpa to land a fat 32″ beauty! I think she smiled the rest of the trip over that fish.”

One of the best parts of fishing with your kids or grandkids is seeing how happy they look when they catch a fish ‚Äì especially if it’s a monster. We love to watch our grandson Ryan fish at the base and see what he can catch off the dock.

Of course we love hearing the highlights of our guests’ trips. We can’t wait until the season starts up again in May!
