The Duininck family has been very good to the Nestor Falls Fly-In organization, doing multiple trips with us each year. They started out with a Duininck company trip, which then grew into multiple family trips. We would like to thank you ALL for choosing to fly out fishing with Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts. Flying a total of 150 air miles into the Woodland Caribou Park to Larus Lake is their favorite trip. The red tea stained water which gives it its name, the Bloodvien River System, offers some of the most excellent Walleye and Northern Pike fishing.
This was on their company trip, and the fishing had been unreal during their stay at Larus Lake. The water temperature is only 58 degrees in June, and the fish were hitting hard at the outlet set of falls unlike on the river. They released 100’s upon 100’s of fish, with the largest Walleye being 27 inches. By far, the most exciting catch was a 48 inch Northern Pike on a 6 lb test with no leader. I am sure, this is one for the record book.
The Wilderness of Ontario continues to reward our guests with fantastic memories, and what a joy it is to see some of our most loyal customers pull memories like this one out of the lake!
