Another Great Trip! I wanted to write a short blog to thank you for another great fly-in fishing trip this year. While we have done several trips with you we are never amazed at the first class service and wonderful times we share on our trips with Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts. Your personable staff, great cabins and wonderful fishing make this annual trip something we all look forward to each year.

This year’s trip was even more memorable than usual due to the crazy weather and exceptional fishing. After two days of very warm temperatures for May we experienced two days of rainy, very windy conditions which caused us to beach our boats to prevent them from being swamped when tied to the dock due to the size of the waves being pushed ashore. The good news was the fish simply didn’t care! We were rewarded with some of the best northern pike fishing we have ever experienced. The pike were still in the shallows and were hungry! Our group of 8 boated and released 87 pike over 30 inches with 6 exceeding 40 inches in only 3 days of actual fishing. Of course we boated plenty of walleye as well. The fishing was so good at times we couldn’t help but laugh and wonder aloud why we don’t do this more often. Our evenings on the outdoor deck of our cabin were full of fish stories, applying aloe to treat our sun burn, and listening to the call of the loons (that NEVER gets old). Thanks again Dave and Michelle for another great trip and a cherished annual opportunity to bond with my sons and some very dear friends. I can’t wait for next year!
