Overdue Appreciation !!

We want to share such a nice letter we got from Kim Knight who has flown up North with us on to many fly-in fishing trips to count. Whether it’s your first or fortieth time fishing in the Canadian wilderness, these lakes will keep surprising you.

Dear Michelle & Dave,

So far 2020 has been an unconventional year to say the least! Our family and friends and I pray your family and friends have, thus far, been able to avoid contracting the virus and we pray they will all continue to be safe.

The purpose of this letter is to express my deepest appreciation for all the wonderful memories you have made possible for so many years! You and your staff are so good at your jobs that I am afraid, in the past, there have been times I have taken for granted your hospitality, your professionalism, your quality in your accommodations, your equipment, and your service. I will not let that happen again! My eyes were opened to how good my family, my friends, and myself have been catered to on so many trips with Nestor Falls Fly-in Outposts!

Because of the COVID-19 border closing and not being able to fly north with you, a group of my friends and family decided we still wanted to have a fishing trip so we booked a week with a resort in Northern Minnesota just south of the border. I didn’t expect the fishing to compare with your fly-in lakes but I did believe we could catch some fish with our fishing experience. What walleyes we caught were small with “keepers” of only 10 to 12 inches, and they were few and far between. We caught a few of smallmouth bass but only one “nice” one at about 18″. We even struggled catching pike. Having said this, I must add, I do not totally rate a fishing trip based on numbers and size of the fish, but it does help make the trip a success! There were other things with the rental boats, the accommodations, and the owners and staff’s attitudes that contributed to us continuously comparing them with you and our experiences with Nestor Falls Fly-in Outposts!

My point is: Thank you for all you do, all you have done, and all you will continue to do for us and for all of your many guests! You make us all feel welcome and appreciated. You took what Glen and Sharon had and you developed it into a World-Class Fishing/North woods Experience. And you did all this while maintaining personal, friendly service without compare! Thank you for all the memories even the ones yet to be made!

Kim thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement. You have no idea how this note has touched Dave and I. It is because of you, your family and friends that our family is able to get through this most difficult time. We have always known that we had the best clients/friends but when you go through something like 2020 you realize how grateful we are to all of you out there. It has meant so much to Dave and I that everyone would allow us to transfer their deposits to 2021. We have enjoyed every letter with words of encouragement and the offer to send more deposit money it really has really touched our hearts. So thank you ALL!
