Sharing stories in the off-season
March 29, 2018
You know that somewhat restless feeling you get when it’s that in-between seasons time of year? Signs of spring start popping up, but winter hasn’t fully said goodbye. It’s too early for boating and too late for sledding. Ice remains the only thing standing between you and the wilderness. This is where I find myself, as we anxiously look forward to the start of our 33rd year and everything it will bring.
Last week a dear friend, Mike Britt, wrote to me with details of his fishing trip and brought to my attention that I hadn’t been blogging recently. Staring at a blank screen can be very intimidating, and (in addition to some computer issues) I found myself experiencing what they call, writer’s block. It was a bit like sitting in a boat waiting for the fish to bite‚Äîbut without the calming sound of water lapping against the side, sun shining on my back and echo of loons calling in the distance.
As I sat looking at my screen, I realized that I’ve been writing this blog a very along time. And that’s when it hit me! Why not ask my followers what they’d like me to write about? I’m sure you have great ideas, questions I could answer, and so many wonderful stories we could share with our readers.
So please send your thoughts/ideas to info@new.nestorfalls.com, we would love to hear from you!
