Spring Black Bear Hunt is Back in Ontario

Ontario’s government brought back the Spring Bear Hunt through 2020! All hunting takes place on our own private hunting area reserved for guests of Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts only. We take only one group of hunters at a time so you do not have to worry about another group hunting in your area. The area around Nestor Falls is a prime habitat for Black Bears, but it’s been a few years since we’ve done a Spring Bear Hunt.

Our two bear hunters out at Kay Lake had some good luck this year. They were bow hunting and got a nice Black Bear. Many Black Bear sightings are also spotted by guests out on the lakes at our outposts. The group that was out at Herod Lake a couple weeks back saw a Cinnamon Bear!
