Unprecedented Times
May 1, 2020
We didn’t know it then but we know a little better today that COVID-19 has brought the world to a stop. It has brought a new reality to our lives. We no longer get dressed first thing in the morning to run to our jobs. Instead, we enjoy our morning coffee sitting at home in front of our computers reading our emails. During the first days of our lock down period, we decided to lay off the office staff because of the uncertainty as to when we will be able to restart.
More than a month later we are still adjusting to the new normal. At this time we are trying to stay on course in uncharted waters as the information rolls in from Transport Canada and other agencies. A lot of things will change in how we operate when they do open nonessential small businesses and release restrictions on the border crossing.
We maintain a positive mindset. We will bring back smaller office staff in the beginning to manage social distancing. We will slowly bring back the planes to the base as soon as the ice is out. Our new motors will be arriving soon and with the help of the boys, we will get them moved to the Outposts. Dave is talking about moving forward with the upgrades to our solar systems which we have been trying to do for the last 2 years. We have a couple of new docks that we would like to build since we have the time now to do so.
Dave & I are thankful for your support and encouragement during these unprecedented times as we work on rolling over our May trips to the 2021 season. At this time we are hopeful to start in June but if it is unsafe to do so we will contact you and reschedule your trip to the 2021 season. We will keep you posted as developments as they come our way. You can contact us at info@new.nestorfalls.com or please call 807-484-2345.
Not in our wildest dreams did we realize that when we said goodbye to many of you last year that it could mean longer than a year.
We miss you, be safe, be well and stay committed to fishing.
Escape to the Wilderness!
